Gardiner, MT to Cody, WY......29th June 2014

Hitch up and away on a really pleasant drive north on 89 to Livingston , MT.....farming/ranching lands, lots of cattle and horses, and again alpacas......very neat little communities with chalet/log cabin style houses....this is s longer route than going through Yellowstone Park but we have been advised that the road is a winding and steep section going up and over Sylvan Pass in Yellowstone....
It was nice to see more of the countryside and even on the I-90 East it was still very much agriculture and ranching and a pleasant drive.....
Road works on the I-90 for 27 miles but no problems traffic was light and it was just a case of closed lanes and contra-flows, Yorkieman took it all in his stride...
Lunch sandwich stop...and a chance to take pics of the State signs as we have been in and out of Montana-Wyoming while in Yellowstone...
From the I-90 it's south on the 72/120 again very scenic....
The 120 coming into Cody.....a very nice town, named after Buffalo Bill of course...
We are here for 3 days staying at a nice little campsite on the edge of Cody to visit the Eastern side of Yellowstone  and the local area....
